Weight and Metabolic Balancing
Obesity is not a single, cataclysmic event. We do not get fat overnight. Obesity is the inevitable result of an accumulation of poor nutrition, hormonal changes, eating the wrong foods, emotional eating, and lack of enjoyable physical exercise. In simple terms, Obesity is nothing more than a few errors in judgment repeated every day.
From the time of Hippocrates, good quality food and lifestyle management, including pleasurable physical activity, has always been the corner stone of good health.
In today’s world, having access to foods organically grown in mineral rich soil is a luxury. Most people consider quality food as an unaffordable expense; thus, they choose the cheaper processed packaged food, and wonder about the reasons they are sick and malnourished.
Weight and Metabolic balancing
We have been conditioned to not take responsibility of our own body, and are not taught to consume proper nutrients, fresh air and practice physical activities that relaxes us. After all, if something hurts, we take a medication to take away the symptom but will not address the real issue or cause. We also learn to self-medicate those symptoms, thus providing an escape from any immediate consequences of our not-so good nutritional deeds.
Those who tend to be sleep deprived, smoke, and drink too much, go on making these poor choices year after year after year... because it doesn't seem to matter. But the pain and regret of these errors in judgment have only been delayed for the future. Consequences are seldom instantaneous; instead, they accumulate overtime until the inevitable day of reckoning finally arrives and the price must be paid for our poor choices – those choices that didn't seem to matter! The future consequences could be high blood pressure, heart attacks, diabetes, headaches, and joints pains from carrying too much weight, which their body was not designed or developed to carry.
Obesity's most dangerous attribute is its subtlety. In the short term, those eating habits don't seem to make any difference. We do not seem to be fat, tired, in pain or fatigue right away after a poor-nutritional meal. In fact, sometimes, these accumulated calories occur throughout a period of great joy and prosperity in our lives, like our own birthdays, holidays, vacations, and weekends with friends and loved ones. Since nothing terrible happens to us, and there are no immediate consequences to capture our attention, we simply drift from one day to the next, repeating the bad eating habits, thinking the wrong thoughts, listening to the wrong voices, and making the wrong choices.
Because we did not have a heart attack after eating almost everything at the buffet yesterday; therefore, the act was probably harmless. Since it seemed to have no measurable consequences, it is probably safe to repeat!
But we must become better educated than that! This is where Vitality Health Centre can help. We will be addressing the root of your poor eating habits.
